As a local boy born and bred in Fife I attended Bell Baxter High school, Cupar before I qualified from the Royal Dick Veterinary School in 1998.
After qualifying I worked for 2 years in a mixed practice in Wick. I then did locum work in practices in Wales, Derbyshire and Cumbria that treated farm animals, pets and horses.
In 2003 I decided to return to my home town to set up Eden Veterinary Practice. I am married to Alex who is also a vet. My hobbies are watching the Howe of Fife Rugby team and helping my brother on the farm especially breeding pedigree Simmental cattle. Any free time is spent walking our dogs Kim and Honey.
Katie
I am originally from Dumfries and qualified from Glasgow University in 2020 before deciding to try the East coast out for size. I really enjoy the variety mixed practice has to offer and it is certainly living up to all my grandpa’s great stories of his time as a mixed vet. I also have a particular interest in pathology and its role in first opinion practice. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going for dog walks to the beach and forests and travelling whenever I can.

I graduated from the university of Liverpool in summer 2022. I am originally form Glasgow, and decided to come back up North after graduation.
I enjoy the variety that a mixed practice brings and I especially love being able to get out and about in the countryside.
Outside of work, I enjoy hillwalking with my dogs and horse riding.
Jennifer
My name is Jennifer, I qualified at Glasgow vet school. I particularly enjoy all surgery whether it be on a cow or a ferret but love being outdoors on a farm.
The bouncy yellow lab behind the reception counter belongs to me, her name is Bee.
When I am not at work you’ll find me on long walks with Bee, visiting friends and family or riding my horse.

Growing up as a gamekeepers daughter I have been working with wildlife my entire life, this sparked my interest in mixed practice as I love the variety of working and caring for different species. I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2024 and I’m very happy to be back home living in the Scottish countryside.
I have a spotty dog called Lemon and outside of work I enjoy running, hiking and exploring with her.
Andrew
After attending Bell Baxter, I went to study veterinary medicine at Glasgow University.
I live on the family farm outside Cupar, which allows me to keep my beltex sheep alongside the rest of the family stock.
I enjoy being part of the mixed team caring for all small and farm animals locally.
Outside of work I spend far too much of my time and energy breeding and showing my pedigree beltex sheep.
