Our owner grew up surrounded by animals on his father’s farm in North-East Fife
Our owner Ainslie Smith is no stranger to creatures both great and small. In fact, he grew up on his father’s farm in North-East Fife and has always been interested in veterinary science and caring for animals.
As well as being surrounded by animals as a youngster, Ainslie was a fan of James Herriot; a famous vet who wrote a series of semi-autobiographical books about his experiences.
When Ainslie established our practice in 2003 he was the only vet and was supported by two part time receptionists. Since then, however, our practice has gone from strength-to-strength and today we have a total of thirteen full and part time vets – as well as a team of nurses and receptionists– to deal with the demand for our experience with small animals in house, and our farm and horse expertise on the road.
