Ainslie and Max
As a local boy born and bred in Fife I attended Bell Baxter High school, Cupar before I qualified from the Royal Dick Veterinary School in 1998.
After qualifying I worked for 2 years in a mixed practice in Wick. I then did locum work in practices in Wales, Derbyshire and Cumbria that treated farm animals, pets and horses.
In 2003 I decided to return to my home town to set up Eden Veterinary Practice. I am married to Alex who is also a vet. My hobbies are watching the Howe of Fife Rugby team and helping my brother on the farm especially breeding pedigree Simmental cattle. Any free time is spent walking our very energetic dog Max.
Max was let out to walk himself by his previous owners. Unfortunately one day he came home with a very badly broken leg. His owners took him in to see my wife Alex who is also a vet. His previous owners would not pay for his treatment but decided to sign him over to Alex who amputated his leg with a view to re-homing him after his stitches were out. But within 2 weeks she had decided to adopt him. Max’s hobbies are running very fast and sticking his head down rabbit burrows.

Neema
After graduating from the Veterinary University of Hannover, Germany in spring 2019 and seeing mixed practice in both Northern Ireland and Germany, I decided to settle in beautiful Scotland. Though farm animal medicine is my greatest passion, I very much enjoy the variety of mixed practice I get to experience every day here at Eden Vets.
Outside of work I like exploring the nature and landscapes, the best of which Scotland has to offer, ending the day around a table with friends.
Clio
My name is Cliodhna or Clio for short. I am originally from a seaside village on the east coast of Ireland. I grew up helping out on my cousins beef farm and at my local horse riding stables from a young age. I have two black mixed siamease cats that are very lovable and funny called Elmo and Peanut and I also enjoy giving cuddles to my partners dog molly who is a staffie-whippet cross. I’ve grown up with animals always about the house and I enjoy working with both large and small animals.
I originally studied microbiology in Galway for 4 years before coming to Edinburgh to study veterinary.
My main hobbies outside of work are walking, swimming and horse riding. I also enjoy exploring new places and meeting new people to chat with over a nice cup of tea.
Katie
I am originally from Dumfries and qualified from Glasgow University in 2020 before deciding to try the East coast out for size. I really enjoy the variety mixed practice has to offer and it is certainly living up to all my grandpa’s great stories of his time as a mixed vet. I also have a particular interest in pathology and its role in first opinion practice. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, going for dog walks to the beach and forests and travelling whenever I can.
