I have been working at Eden Veterinary Practice for the past 3 years as a full time Receptionist/Nurse following being a full time Mum & Taxi Driver to my two children. My hobbies include cycling, gardening, playing and coaching badminton.
I have two cats – Tiggi was a rescue cat that I have had since 1994 and Ellie was a stray cat that turned up on our doorstep in 2003, decided that we were obviously a cat loving family with two cats already in residence, and after being at the back door morning, noon and night for a number of days we let her into the fold where she has never had a night out on the tiles since. A more friendly and loving character you could not wish for. |

My name is Rosie and I am one of the receptionists/ nursing staff within the practice. I have been with Eden Veterinary Practice since 2006.
Having had a passion for animals since I was a child my ideal job then was anything to do with horses. After finishing my education at Bell Baxter High School I went into the slightly unusual career of falconry which I was able to do locally at The Scottish Deer Centre. After 5 years at the centre it was time for a bigger challenge and to experience a wider variety of birds.
Therefore I moved to Bedfordshire and became one of a small team of falconers that worked for The Duke of Bedford at Woburn Safari Park. We ran a team of 150 birds and I was lucky enough to work with all manner of raptors from Bald Eagles, Hooded Vultures, Caracaras, Hawks, Falcons and owls but to name a few.
I later returned to my roots in Fife to get married and raise my own family.
This is Judy, she is a 1 year old Jackadoodle and has been part of our family since November 2008. While in the past we have always had German Shepherds Judy was looking for new home, she fits in realy well with the family. She is as daft as a brush and is the double of "Hairy McClarey". |

I have been working as a receptionist/nurse at Eden Veterinary Practice since May 2008. My previous jobs include running an art gallery, animal care worker, and airbrushing life size animal sculptures.
In my spare time I paint animal portraits, and volunteer for East Neuk of Fife Cats Protection.
I have owned and shown several horses for the past 16 years, but am now more of a “happy hacker!” My family of pets are two Abyssinian Guinea Pigs, four lovely rescued cats, and a dappled grey Irish Draught x Thoroughbred, Madison.
Madison was unwanted due to her skin tumours, she was emaciated, depressed and had badly neglected hooves. She has been a pleasure to nurse back to health, and is a now a happy confident horse who is much loved by the whole family. Her favourite things are galloping and being with her best friend, my Dad's Thoroughbred, Morgan. |

I began working at Eden Veterinary Practice in December 2010 as I was looking for a change in career direction. My previous work experience includes hotel reception management, travel consultancy and propert management. Having always loved animals I am finding this an extremely rewarding and enjoyable role. So much so that I am about yo commence a Diploma in professional pet care and veterinary practice assistance.
Most of my spare time is taken up by exercising my 10 year old son and 3 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback Alfie, both of whom love hillwalking and running on the beach. |
